When I was a little girl, I used to hold hands with my Mom in Fortunoff’s while she was looking for jewelry, Lladro, fine china and crystal and more. I grew up there. I even registered for my wedding gifts there! It was definitely a household name and a place for perhaps a family outing! During the holiday season, you would beg to be taken to see how beautifully festive the decorations were! Well, all I can say is that I am truly fortunate for the “Straight from the Heart” collection to now be available at Fortunoff Fine Jewelry in time for Mother’s Day!  Conveniently located at 1504 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11590 (Northeast end of The Mall at The Source) Street level, East of P.F. Today’s guest is a proud mom that is raising funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis as well as honoring her son’s memory to help find a cure for his sister. This mom has recently been named the Campaign Chair for USO Central Florida Orlando‘s Welcome Center, and she was recently nominated for the Orlando Business Journal‘s 2015 Women Who Mean Business. She is co-owner of Good 2 Go Event Management, Inc. and founder of the Angel’s Life Foundation – Supporting Cystic Fibrosis Research. Many blessings to all the survivors, families, artists, and men and women that participated, volunteered, and supported Creative Cups New York Statewide, Breast Cancer hotline and programs fundraising benefit, at Adelphi University. A special thank you to NBC’s Pat Battle, who is also a breast cancer survivor, for hosting the event and making every person in that room feel inspired and reminded that they are not alone. Pat did an amazing job! You could certainly feel the layers of love, all around. Pat Battle’s love of helping others, sharing her story and seeing her beautiful relationship with her daughter and connection with the world at large is a perfect example of Living the Layers! It was a truly uplifting experience and an emotional time. I was very fortunate to have been able to meet this most incredibly strong, inspirational and positive group of people that understand never to give up! While speaking with  Goldie, she told me that she takes personal service and relationships with her customers very seriously.  Kevin, her son, is professional and aims to please!  You can see Goldie’s husband and jeweler, Saeed Moradi working very hard at the bench to assure that each piece he creates and passes through his hands and back to you is guaranteed to be even more beautiful than what you expected!  Custom work is a specialty.   I believe that is what has led to the store’s success!  Even after a short time being in Goldie’s Jewelry, I wasn’t able to tell who her customers were and who were family or old friends!  You are greeted with a smile, and leave with a smile!  It is a family business that treats everyone, well, like family!  I am honored to have the “Straight from the Heart” collection available at Goldie’s Jewelry.
